What we have been learning this week

Congratulations Rabbit Class, you are all now at school full-time and you are all making rapid progress at settling into school routines!  Look at the fun we had earlier this week meeting each other, shaking hands and singing the “how do you do?” song.

What polite, friendly people you are!

We have also been out and about, exploring our trim trail and all the fantastic balancing we can do.

We are also really enjoying using the brand new interactive boards, so thank you to the whole school community for raising the funds to allow us to have these fantastic resources.

What we shall be working on next week

Next week we will be reading "The Big Red Bath" story focusing on the alliteration, and exploring things that float or sink. We will be exploring numbers, then counting carefully and also learning rhymes to help us write all those numbers.  We will continue our learning about sharing and caring, and also continue to look at our value this half-term, which is Thankfulness.

How you can help with home learning

Can you make up silly sentences using words beginning with the same sound? Can you collect or sort objects that begin with the same sound?  For example, pen, peg, pencil, pig, paper, plate, etc, etc.

On Wednesday please could your child bring in something special to them?  As they will need to explain why it is special to them it would really help if you could discuss this with them first. Why have they chosen this? What makes it special to them?

General information

Please look out for an email which will be sent out at the beginning of next week if your child is in the first Forest School sessions which will be starting on Friday afternoons.  If you do not receive an email, this means your child will start Forest School after-half term when we will be swapping over.
