We have a team of highly skilled, experienced teachers and teaching assistants at St John's. They are passionate about working with children, encouraging them to develop a genuine love of learning and helping each child to achieve its full potential. There are plenty of opportunities for parents to meet with their chld's teacher including regular Parents' Consultation Evenings each term.

Nicki Bartley

Teacher

Nicki is the newest member of our teaching staff, teaching Yr 2, and bringing with her a wealth of experience and creative ways of teaching. She is keen to make the very best of our superb outside areas.

Ginnie Gregory

Headteacher

Ginnie is our friendly, approachable Headteacher, always striving to ensure that our children feel safe and loved. She is constantly evaluating children’s learning and coming up with exciting ideas of how to make the most of every opportunity.

Sarah Kibbler

Teacher

Sarah is our other fabulous Yr 1 teacher, full of great ideas to extend and challenge our learners. She is also a great advocate of active outside learning, where skills of enquiry, experimentation, reflection and co-operative learning can all be fostered.

Marion Stevens

Teacher

Marion is our caring & fun-loving Reception teacher. She ensures the transition from nursery to school is smooth so the children become happy and confident learners. All children thrive under her care.

Lizzie Kettle

Teacher

Lizzie is our delightful Year 1 teacher, responsible for PSHE across the school. She loves sports and encourages the children to take part in a whole range of activities, especially fun & games on St John’s Field.

Sophie Ireland

SENCo & HSLW

Sophie is our lovely SENCo & Home School Link Worker (HSLW). She works one day a week, often supporting parents, working with children and working alongside staff to ensure that all children access the best education.

Lyn Eckstein

Teaching Assistant

Lyn Eckstein is our HLTA with expertise in supporting children with Speech and Language across the key stage. With her lovely calm approach she helps develop children’s skills and confidence.

Lisa Margretts

Teaching Assistant

Lisa uses every minute to support the children in both Year 1 and 2, taking booster learning groups throughout the day. Lisa is a real asset, often coming up with great ideas to move the school forward.

Linda Healey

Linda is another HLTA based in Reception. With her kind & caring nature, children are fond of her. She can be seen in all weathers, making sure Reception have the very best learning experience.

Deborah Jones

Teaching Assistant

Debs is one of our TAs based in Reception, always showing real dedication to the job and utter commitment to the children. She also co-ordinates lunchtimes and ensures they are happy and convivial.

Alice Cowan

Teaching Assistant

Alice works with us two afternoons a week supporting children in a variety of ways. These include Social Skills groups, where children are learning invaluable life skills through games & fun activities.

Emma Lawrence

Learning Support Assistant

Emma joins our Teaching Assistant team, supporting individuals with learning needs. Not only is Emma a trained teacher, but she also has a vast knowledge and understanding of a range of learning difficulties and works alongside our SENCo.

Angela Bryowska

Learning Support Assistant

Angela also supports individuals with their learning needs and has great relationships with the children, having spent many years working as a nanny.

Emma Edwards

Wrap-around Care Supervisor

Emma joins us this year to lead and co-ordinate our Wrap-around Care programme. She is always keen to provide high quality opportunities for children to be involved in after school, as well as a hearty breakfast at the start of the day.

School Business Manager

Jo is our wonderfully efficient School Business Manager who liaises constantly with the Headteacher to ensure the school is running well and the children are always in receipt of the best possible resources.

Karen Marshall

School Secretary

Karen is our Secretary & undoubtedly the ‘face’ of St John’s with a lovely welcoming smile & fabulous ‘can do’ attitude. She coordinates everything from second hand uniform to patching up cuts & bruises.

Midday Supervisor

Emma is one of our wonderful Midday Supervisors, out in all weathers, encouraging great collaborative playtime games, and with her cheeerful, positive disposition, makes sure lunchtimes are great fun.

Lucy Johnson

Midday Supervisor

Lucy is another of our Midday Supervisors, helping children keep safe & enjoy themselves. She is a keen cook & loves cooking with young children; we are hoping she will share her talents in school soon!

Janice Foster

Catering Supervisor

Janice is our wonderful Catering Supervisor cooking and creating fresh meals onsite every day. With almost the whole school eating her tasty meatballs, sausages and curries and pizzas she is very busy!

Deborah Skeates

Kitchen Assistant

Deborah is our helpful Kitchen Assistant, working hard to help Janice & provide nourishing meals for all children. She works in tandem with the Midday Supervisors ensuring lunch is happy & sociable.

William England

IT Technician

William is our IT expert spending time in school updating devices & ensuring that e-safety is a priority. Recently he has been working on our emails to ensure communication is as smooth as possible.
