It's been a great start to Badger Class! The children have managed really well with the new classroom and helping me to learn the routines.
What we have been learning this week
This week, the children have enjoyed learning about what makes us healthy and in writing they have been practising using full stops and capital letters. In maths they have been showing all that they have remembered from last year.
What we shall be working on next week
Next week we will continue to work on the question "How do we stay alive?". We will be writing a story based around "Handa's Surprise" and looking at fitness and hygiene in science. In maths we will be continuing counting and understanding the value of numbers.
How you can help with home learning
This weekend please could you encourage your children to learn their 2x table with plenty of practice of counting up and down in 2s.
Also, please now start reading regularly with your child and don’t forget to ask questions about the text, thinking about prediction and character.
General Information
Information about timetables, planning and classroom routines (homework, reading etc) will be sent out next week.
Outdoor PE will be on Wednesday afternoons and indoor PE will be Tuesday mornings. Please ensure your child has their full outside kit as well as a warm waterproof coat. Many thanks.
