Welcome Rabbit Class!

What we have been learning this week

Well, what a fantastic start to the year - you are all going to be a fantastic class!

We have made a great start at getting to know each other. We went on a tour of the school to find all the important places. It was amazing to see the excitement about the new library space and you all chose independently to start looking at books and sharing ideas about what sort of stories you like. It was a heart-warming sight.

We all had a chance to talk about why we need to go to school. It was great to hear you talking about learning.   We enjoyed playing name games, especially with the parachute. Great listening everyone!

You have all settled well and I am so proud of you all.

What we shall be working on next week

Next week we will be joining the two groups together to learn more names and making new friends. We will be making good choices in our learning and exploring St John's "Learning Tools". We will be using our ears to listen to sounds around us. We will be reading rhyming stories. We will also be doing lots of counting, number rhymes and recognising numbers.

How you can help with home learning

Try recognising numbers around the house, for exmaple, on the remote control, on a clock, telephones, etc. Can you count your toys, your stairs, the cutlery on the table.

General information

You should be very proud of your amazing little learners!  Thank you for giving us such polite and exciting people to work with.
