Rabbits learn more about taking turns and sharing!

12.10.18

What we have been learning this week

Well done Rabbit Class you are truly understanding the importance of turn taking and sharing which was a theme in our music, RE and literacy this week.

Also this week, and following on from our Harvest Service last week, we have tried breads from different countries - which was your favourite? Was it the bagel, pitta, brioche, cornbread, Frenchstick or breadstick?  Can your remember which country they originated from?

We also enjoyed using the iPad and had to listen very carefully to the instructions we needed to follow to complete the tasks. We had lots of fun while we learnt - great listening, Rabbits, well done!

There was great excitement this week, too, when we all made some harvest soup, with some produce from our garden. We added seven ingredients - can you remember what they were?  A huge "well done" to everyone who tried the soup - even if you thought you wouldn’t like it!  We all took turns and worked very hard on our cooking skills to create a delicious pot of soup!

What we shall be working on next week

We will be reading the story, "Oliver’s Vegetables", and trying to find out who is helping who in the story? We will also be talking about the days of the week that are mentioned in the story.

We will be ordering numbers, comparing a big quantity with a small quantity. We will continue with our letter sound learning.

How you can help with home learning

Every child now has a letter learning folder with this week's letters in, so please try to talk about the tasks and try to spot these letters around you.

The most helpful learning you can do is to ensure your child can dress and undress themselves, taking off jumpers, polo shirts, socks and tights. The quicker we get at changing the more time we can have on PE activities!

General information

Thank you to everyone who has named their child’s clothing.  Unfortunately, however, there was still some unnamed clothing which makes ensuring everyone gets their own clothes back very difficult! Also may I remind you that the school uniform is for plain grey or white socks please. Thank you for your support.
