Badgers meet some visitors!

19.10.18

What we have been learning this week.

Badger Class were lucky to have two very special visitors this week, all the way from the Kalahari Desert – Sunny’s parents!  Since their arrival the children have been working hard to find out what adventures the meerkats might have had during their journey. They have been using their imagination to plan, act out and write an adventure story based on their trip.

In maths this week we have been solving word problems using addition and subtraction of multiples of 10. The children have worked hard on this and are now becoming much more independent when adding and subtracting 10s.

What we shall be working on next half-term

After a lovely half-term break, we will be back to work and focusing on using dictionaries to check our work and becoming independent learners. We will also be looking at contractions and involving them in our spellings.

We are also looking forward to our school trip on Thursday!

How you can help with home learning

Please see the home learning that has been set this week. In addition please ensure children are reading daily during the half-term.
