Rabbits and their bread tasting!

13.10.17

What we have been learning this week

Well, another busy week of learning in Rabbit Class!  Last week we finished with bread tasting - which did you like most?  Pita, naan, brioche, bagel or bread sticks? Can you remember which country they came from?

We became pirates in PE to help improve our balancing on one leg. We then tried to improve our balancing on the trim trail too! Well done pirates - we will keep practising. You were good at the sea shanty too!

Another fun story this week too!  Along with "Pumpkin Soup", we acted out "The Enormous Turnip".

We are all excited about our letter learning and have made a fabulous start. Stitch the Alien has crashed his spaceship in our playground and now needs to learn to read and write just like us!   Well done Rabbits - you are all going to be a fabulous team of learners.

What we shall be working on next week

Next week we will be learning p, a, t, sounds and we will be blending sounds to make words. We will be reading the story of "Oliver's Vegetables".   We will also be thinking about "1 more than" any number, and we will continue to make sure we are always caring and sharing.

How you can help with home learning

Keep supporting your child with their letter learning which is coming home.  Any chance to ask "How many would you have if you had one more?" would also be great!

General Information

Please remember to sign-up to the parent helper timetable on the class notice board if you are able to help, starting after half-term. Please don't forget, though, to drop by and see Karen at the front desk regarding a DBS check before doing so.

Thank you for naming all the children's uniform - it really helps!
