20.11.19

Pupils have been doing their bit for the climate by planting over a hundred saplings in the school grounds - the children planted the trees as part of a Woodland Trust initiative.

All of our children take part in Forest School activities as part of the curriculum, and love getting their hands muddy as they learn to care for the environment. Each of our three classes planted a mixture of Hawthorne, Beech, Wild Cherry, Silver Birch and Hazel saplings, which will return CO2 to the atmosphere and provide a habitat for wildlife.

The children really enjoyed the experience and were excited to contribute. They really enjoy their forest school activities and were grateful to the woodland trust initiative for providing the saplings.
