What we have been learning this week
This week in English we have begun to think about how to write a recount. To improve our recount writing skills we have also been learning about adjectives and how to include them in our writing. We will continue to write a recount about our school trip next week.
In maths we have continued to think about addition within ten. Children have been able to use their number bond knowledge to support them in answering missing number problems.
And, of course, this week we went on our trip to Portsmouth Aquarium. The children had a fantastic day and certainly learnt lots of new facts. They even had the opportunity to touch a star fish, a shore crab and a spider crab, amongst others!
What we shall be working on next week
Next week in English the children will be completing their recount of the school trip and writing thank you letters to the Aquarium.
How you can help with home learning
Homework this week is an addition activity, as well as practising the weekly spellings, and reading regularly please.
