Pirates cross the river!

03.05.19

What we have been learning this week

We have been busy observing our tadpoles and the changes happening to them. We have been learning about their lifecycle and the names of each stage.
We are practising using the digraphs ee and ai in reading and writing. We have enjoyed the story of 10 little pirates and used this to make up subtraction stories of our own. Well done everyone you are so good at telling number stories.
All pirates have to be able to read their messages before crossing the river. Well done pirates!

We really thought about the subject of pants and how important they are to cover our privates. We made our own poster to remind us to say no if anyone asks to see below them. If it happened we would also make sure we told an adult we trusted.

What we shall be working on next week
We will be reading the story of Noah’s Ark and counting in 2’s . We will be working with partners to paint matching pairs of animals.

How you can help with home learning
Please keep telling subtraction number stories at home. Use your life cycle wheel to talk about the life cycle of frogs.
