Rabbits build an Ark!

05.05.17

I am so proud of how all of Rabbit Class is talking about their learning!  They are developing ways of checking their work using the purple pencils to polish and make improvements to their work.  Their "can do attitude" and desire to take on challenges is great to see and hear.

This week we have enjoyed continuing our work on Noah, wondering what Noah would have thought when God asked him to build an Ark. Some of us have designed and built our own ark.

We have also used tape measures while we were building.

We have been making sure we know all the 44 sounds and are trying to recognise key words on sight. New words we are trying to learn this term are: all, was, are.

We have been exploring patterns when counting in 2s.

We have been discussing how to make things fair, and that things don't always seem fair.  We will continue to find ways of trying to make things fair when playing with our friends.

Keep observing those tadpoles and see if you can spot any changes.

Next week we will be reading “The Bad Tempered Ladybird” and discussing how to talk to other people kindly.  We will also be looking at the “o’clock” in time.

For home learning this week you could be counting things in groups of two around the house, for example, shoes and socks.

Have a great weekend everyone!
