Badgers Turn Detective!

06.03.19

What we have been learning this week

This week we have been enjoying our world book week activities and dressing up day. We had a surprise visitor who left clues in the school hall at the start of the week and we have been working hard to write a letter to the visitor in order to find out who they are and what they were doing - it’s all been very exciting! We have moved on to measuring in metres this week and have been out in the playground finding objects that measure less or more than a metre.

We also had a wonderful visit from Marcia Williams, the well known childrens author, which was fantastic and thoroughly enjoyed by the children and staff alike.

What we shall be working on next week

Next week we will be looking at measuring our own height as well as ordering and comparing lengths. In English we will be producing some creative writing based on ‘George’s Marvellous Medicine’ as well as continuing fabulous art work in the style of Quentin Blake. We will also start to learn about Florence Nightingale for our new topic.

How you can help with home learning

Please see the home learning that has been set this week. Please make sure that your child completes and brings in their homework next week, and continues to read as often as possible at home with you at home.
