Rabbit Class and Brilliant Bricks!

23.03.18

What we have been learning this week

So, what a busy week we have had!  We really enjoyed using our learning tools in the Brilliant Bricks session. We used our imaginations to design our creations, our "sticking at it" when things got tricky, and we worked together to help each other. We used our "noticing" to look at each other’s ideas and our "reflecting" to make changes. We listened to the story and made links to fairy tales we have been reading. It was fabulous - you all concentrated for such a long time.  There was lots and lots of talking, but in such calm, quiet voices.

Such a fun morning and lots of lessons learned.

Also this week, we were visited by Churt Pre-school.  We sang lots of different songs with the pre-schoolers and went on a hunt for lost rabbits in the outside classroom - there were small ones, medium ones and big ones. We found them all and shared a treat for such a good job. Thank you for coming - we had a lovely time.

What we shall be working on next week

Next week we will be thinking about the Easter story to finish our topic, and spending time thinking about the special book the story is found in, and who Jesus spent time with in that story.

We might also explore what happens to chocolate when it melts and cools!

We are definitely looking forward to our Easter Service on Thursday, further details of which will be issued separately.

How you can help with home learning

Home learning this week would be, please, to spend time together designing and making your child's Easter bonnet for the Easter service on Thursday - thank you.

General information

PE kits can go home Monday. Thank you to those who are already encouraging their child to come in independently - it’s fantastic!
