Rabbits and a Billy Goat!

24.03.17

Well, as the Easter holidays are fast approaching, we have been working hard to read and write the er sound. We have continued the building theme by being builders. As we read the story of the Three Billy Goats Gruff we tried building a variety of bridges, and we also tested out ways of getting off on the grassy bank - it was very exciting!

We then carried on with the building theme in our mathematics to build towers using different shape bricks. We tried to describe the 3D shapes we used to build these towers, and measured the how tall they were.

We also really enjoyed our visit from Tara and the Wey Assemblies team this week where we explored the Easter story and the special events that are remembered at this time of the year. Thank you, Wey Assemblies team, for such fantastic fun and learning!

For home learning this week, you could talk about shape - perhaps the different shapes of packets in your cupboards or on the supermarket shelves when you go shopping?

Next week we are looking forward to Easter Pause Day on Monday, followed by lots more Easter activities during the rest of the week.

Have a great weekend everyone!
