Rabbit Class and Mr Wolf's Pancakes!

03.03.17

For Book Week this week, Rabbit Class focused on the story of "Mr Wolf's Pancakes", which is a great story and, if you haven't read it, please ask us about it!  Some of us tried to help Mr Wolf by writing him a shopping list and by counting out his money.

We drew fairytale characters in lots of way.  Can you guess who this is in this gigantic picture?

Our phonics fitted in well for Book Week as we learned the long and short vowel sound oo, as in, soon, moon, spoon and book, cook, look.

We wrote a character description for our class competition and what a fantastic effort you all made. We had much improved in our confidence at writing letter sounds independently, using great vocabulary to describe the character, and super imaginative ideas.  All this made it very hard to decide, but we did choose two people who displayed improvements in all of these skills. Well done everyone!  You all did your best and should be proud of your achievements.

The highlight of our week was our class assembly and we were all so excited to show you our learning. We enjoyed it so much that the first question, once we were back in the classroom, was "When do we do another one?"!  So well done Rabbit Class - you all worked together to produce a super assembly and I was very proud of you.

Home learning this week - Can you find any oo words in your books at home?   Can you look at and sort different coins?  How do you know which coin it is?

Next week the fairytale is The Gingerbread Man. Have a lovely weekend!
