Foxes think about Easter

31.03.17

We all really enjoyed our whole school Easter Pause Day on Monday. We spent the morning at church doing lots of different activities. First we made Easter Key rings. Each colour bead represented a different part of the Easter story. Then we took part in a nature hunt which encouraged us to think about the wonder of God.

After that, activities in the church helped us discuss and reflect on Jesus and the Easter story.

On our return to school we thought about whether the Easter story is happy or sad or both. We then made the most of the lovely sunshine and role-played different friendship and play scenarios outside making sure everyone was included and happy.

This week the children also wrote a newspaper report recounting the events of Jesus entering Jerusalem. All the children did brilliantly with their writing, using lots of super adjectives, writing in clear sentences and doing their best with presentation. Well done Foxes!

We hope you all enjoy the Easter break and we look forward to seeing you for the Summer Term!
