Rabbits are in the woods!

22.06.18

What we have been learning this week

Well Rabbits, you have done it again and made us so proud!  You have worked hard, used your learning tools and been very kind.  You used your amazing imaginations in the woods, making musical instruments and vehicles from natural materials. Can you see the motorbike, bus, rocket, dinosaur and jet packs in these pictures?

You worked together and shared ideas and resources - well done everyone!

This week you also wrote some amazing stories inspired by the story “Whatever Next”, which resulted in fantastic achievements by everyone.

Also this week we continued our art project and we are very grateful to Mrs Morris and Mrs Harmer.  However, there are no photographs just yet though because we are keeping it a surprise for our art gallery at the end of term!

It was also the first induction visit for our new Reception children this week, and you were super role models - kind, helpful and caring.

What we shall be working on next week

Next week is our Keeping Safe Week, so we will be thinking about ways of doing just that, from internet safety, sun safety, water safety, all the way through to fire safety and personal safety. We will be watching the NSPCC resources clip called "Pants". You can watch this as well at home if you wish to reinforce the information, and further details will be provided next week.

How you can help with home learning

We have been comparing masses this week so can you help your child to find things heavier or lighter than a tin of baked beans? Can you help to make your own imaginary rocket like the bear in "Whatever Next"?  Also, if you can read all your sight word cards quickly, can you write them too?

General information

We hope to see you at the Parents' Meeting on internet safety on Tuesday, 26 June. (Please see Mrs Morris' weekly newsletter for more information.)

Please note that library books will be changed on a Friday for the next two weeks because of induction visits.

Please also note that, unfortunately, there will be no Forest School for the next two weeks. This means therefore that the last Forest School this term will be on Friday, 13 July.
