Rabbit Class go on an amazing journey!

08.06.18

What we have been learning this week

Well, it has been a short but busy week. It was great to hear about all the things you did in half-term - you seemed to have had so much fun!

And, of course, earlier this week, we went on an amazing journey to start the learning on our new topic, "Joyful Journeys".  It was a busy but amazing day with so much to see and explore. You all made us very proud with your behaviour and manners throughout day. Your fantastic questions, turn-taking and observations showed you as keen and inquisitive learners. You truly showed your “open hearts and enquiring minds.”   Well done Rabbits!

There are so many fabulous photos, it's hard to choose our favourites!  Everybody said they would be keen to go back and the staff were amazing, so a big thank you to Brooklands Museum.

What we shall be working on next week

Next week we shall continue to blend our sounds in short words and longer words. We will be looking at two-syllable words. We will also be using adding and subtracting people on buses, and we will begin work on our whole school art projects.

How you can help with home learning

Please talk to your family about all the things you saw on the school trip.  Can you count out objects into groups of 10?  If you go on a journey at the weekend, can you time how long it takes?

General information

We look forward to seeing you at Churt Village Fete this Saturday - do come along and see Mrs Morris open the celebrations and the fabulous Yr 2 country dancers!  The school cookbook will be on sale too!  I have had a sneak peek and it looks amazing!
