Rabbit Class build some forest vehicles!

29.06.18

What we have been learning this week

Rabbits, you were amazing this week as you continued with and improved upon your fantastic ideas for building vehicles in the forest!  We had a helicopter, a tractor, some motorcycles, racing cars and even the odd space rocket!  All of you were going on some very imaginative journeys, and you had to use so many learning tools: sticking at it, working together, imagination and noticing. Well done Rabbits!

We also enjoyed a visit to the church, to help celebrate its birthday. There were some fantastic displays which we enjoyed discussing, whilst also looking for key features of a church.  We even sang Happy Birthday to the church - what a lovely birthday celebration!

In "Keeping Safe" week we have looked at how to stay safe in lots of different ways - on the internet, in the sun, or near water or fire.  We have also followed advice from the NSPCC. You all have such sensible ideas and I know you will put them into practise. You made some fantastic posters informing others how to get help if things pop up on the computer, or how to put sun cream on, and staying safe near water.  And, if a dinosaur asks to see your pants, say no!

Take a look at some of your work - well done everyone!  Super safety messages Rabbit Class!

What we shall be working on next week

We will be reflecting on all our learning this year and what we would like to do to improve our learning next year. We will also be finishing our art project for the art exhibition taking place at the end of term.

We will be reading "Handa’s Surprise" and looking at the journey she makes. Is it a joyful journey?

How you can help with home learning

Please share your safety messages with people you know to help keep them safe. Can you make safety posters to put around your house?

Keep carefully counting objects as you move them.

General information

Please note there will be NO Forest School on 6 July, but there will be a session on 13 July, which will be the last session this term.

All the children will be spending the afternoon on Tuesday in their new class.   Wow - what an exciting day that will be!   Rabbits, you will be fantastic Foxes!
