Time after time

12.07.19

What we have been learning this week

This week we have now completed practicing for Sports Day as an individual class. We will have one final practice with the whole school on Monday before the big event on Tuesday. We look forward to seeing you there cheering us all on! In English we have completed an end of year booklet, talking about things we have enjoyed and learnt this year, what we think Badgers will be like and finally what exciting things we are going to get up to in the Summer Holidays. In Maths we have continued to look at time. We have begun to think about how to describe time. We have been telling the time to o’clock and thinking about what units of time we use for different activities. We completed our last type of animal we find in the jungle and what makes reptiles a reptile.

What we shall be working on next week

Next week we are going to slow the pace down a bit and carry out some art work as well as some crafty activities the children have chosen which will involve reading instructions. In Maths we will be continuing to look at time and learning how to tell the time to half past and thinking about comparing times with the words faster or slower.

How you can help with home learning

No spellings or homework now for the year, all the children are very tired (as am I!) and are in need of a rest. Carry on reading over the weekend or telling stories. Please ensure P.E kits are in on both Monday and Tuesday and please bring a named bag on Thursday when we will be bringing home all our books to show you all our amazing work!
