Rabbits and Celebration Evening

14.07.17

What we have been learning this week

In PE we were inspired by last week's Big Work-out to challenge ourselves this week in our favourite activities. The hill climb became more of a marathon for some, extending the distance and number of times completed. Some tried travelling on equipment in a way they had not done before.

Well what fun Celebration Evening was!  We really enjoyed performing to you all and I am so proud of my confident little performers! You also managed to raise £13 for the NSPCC from our fabulous "Peach Fizz"!  Thank you all for making it such a success.

Also this week we have been thinking about what is a church?  The children came up with lots of ideas which were fantastic. They have also thought of things they would like to learn about St John's Church which we hope to answer by visiting the church next week. We have created our own ideas of things we want to spot in the church, and we have looked at services the school has been part of throughout the year.

Mrs Kibbler also visited this week to see us in action with our phonics learning and she thinks you're all going to be fabulous Foxes!

What we shall be working on next week

Next week we hope to visit the church to answer our questions before the final Service of the year. We will also be auditing our resources at the end of the year, collecting, grouping, sorting. And we really need to find out how James finishes his adventures!

I cannot believe we are entering the last week of term!  You have all learned so much, but the most important thing I have seen in all of you, is your fantastic attitude to learning.

How you can help with home learning

You could talk about times you may have been to church, or maybe share photos of family weddings or christenings.

General information

Please could all library books be back in book-bags on Tuesday.

Please send your child to school with a named carrier bag on Thursday.

PE bags can go home after Tuesday.

Children may wear their own clothes on Wednesday as it is Class Parties that day, but please remember the clothes must be practical for a day at school. We will be giving the children an afternoon of party games - you do not need to provide anything.
