What have we have been learning this week

This week we have been learning about recounts in English and have learnt about the different features we need for recount writing.

In Maths we have been practicing our place value through comparing numbers using the language 'less than or more than', and ordering numbers.

In topic we have learnt about everyday materials and thought of objects that are made from these materials.

What we shall be working on next week

Next week we will be starting to look at the book Harry and a Bucket full of Dinosaurs. We will be looking at the features of stories, and begin to write our own character description.

In Maths we will be looking at Addition and Subtraction and different ways to help in understand this concept.

In topic we will be learning about Observational drawing of our favourite toy.

How you can help with home learning

This week can you help your child with counting in 2s. This can be done practically and as part of day to day life, or written down on a piece of paper.

General Information

We are hoping that Farnham Museum will be able to visit the school soon to tell us all about toys from the past so we see what they used to look like - more information on this will follow. Can you please also bring in your child’s favourite toy for Wednesday so we can draw them in art.
