Rabbits make Christmas angels

07.12.18

What we have been learning this week

We have really enjoyed learning about how Christians celebrate Christmas. And why Christians celebrate Christmas. We have acted out the story, we have sung songs telling the story and we love dressing up as the characters. We particularly enjoyed the visit from the Weyside assembly team which told us of the important angel that visited Mary. We then got to make our own angels to take home. Thank you to Tara and her team for another fantastic lesson.

We have continued our work on patterns which you are now putting into practise in your self chosen activities.

I am so proud of your segmenting and blending skills, you are all doing so well with these.

We are loving our forest school sessions.

What we will shall be working on next week

We will be completing many Christmas crafts, including using our best letter formation in our Christmas cards. We can’t wait to show you our Christmas performance and it’s very poignant Christmas message.

How you can help with home learning

Please keep reading your books together and write in the reading diary when you do. When you have, please put the books back in your bag as it is very hard to manage changing reading books if they are not in the bag.

Look at wrapping paper - can you spot any repeating patterns?

General information

We would really like to do a forest school session at our super woodland site up near the church on Friday 14th December so although it is advertised as an optional late start we are hoping you will be early risers and in school as normal or at the latest by 9.30. It would be a super end to the term.

Please let me know if this is going to be a problem.
