Foxes make some festive snowmen

14.12.18

What we have been learning this week

This week in English we have been writing instructions. The children have made their own sock snowman, which they thoroughly enjoyed . We then used this as an opportunity to write a set of instructions in case they would like to tell people how they were made.

In Maths we have began to think about place value again, focusing on numbers 10-20. The children can now recognise that a 2 digit number is made up of tens and ones. They can represent this using numicon and dienes.

This Forest School group had their final Forest School lesson of 2018. They roasted marshmallows and made hot chocolate.

How you can help with home learning

Children will not have a spelling test next week. Their spelling books will be kept at school until after Christmas. There will be no motor skills homework set until after Christmas.

General Information

Thank you for supplying your children with their Christmas nativity outfit. They did a fantastic job as elephants and choir singers. A special thank you to the parents who brought their children back for the late performance.
