What we have been learning this week
This week in English we have been looking at newspapers and writing in the past tense. We put this to practise by writing our own newspaper report, telling the story of the gifts that the three kings brought.
In Maths we have learnt about 2D shapes, and sequencing them in a pattern.
This week the children had a lovely afternoon with the Wey Assembly Team. They were thinking about journeys and linking this to the Christmas story.
What we shall be working on next week
Next week the children will be looking at place value of numbers up to 20.
How you can help with home learning
Children have been given their new spellings this week to be tested on Thursday. This will be the last spelling test of 2018. There will be a fun Christmas maths activity to complete.
