A busy week for Yr 2!

We have been doing some Christmas crafts including making candle decorations and Nativity scenes. This is especially useful for the children's fine motor skills, which can easily be overlooked in favour of other types of learning. It also reiterates the Learning Tools that we have adopted this term - especially "sticking at it"!
We had our last spelling test of the term and I have asked the children to look at the key words on the spelling castle that was sent out for homework last week. When we come back in January, they will be tested on some of these words and for SOME children the words will be in dictated sentences.
And, finally, while you are enjoying your Christmas meals, please keep an eye out for Pringles tubes or similar. We need at least 30 for next term, so please don't throw them away!
