Rabbits go to Forest School!
27.04.18
What we have been learning this week
Well, this week all started with the amazing learning we did at Forest School on Friday. We saw a deer running through the woods, we found mini-beasts, we balanced, we climbed trees and we learned how to stay safe. Our "noticing" learning tool was used lots of times to investigate the forest.
Also this week we celebrated St George’s Day by making flags and dragons - such fun!
We enjoyed lots of sports with a trip to the school field and a visit from “All Stars Cricket” too to teach us about bowling. You showed fantastic sportsmanship Rabbit Class - well done!
We have explored the story of "Noah’s Ark" in drama, literacy and role play. It also got us thinking about counting in 2s, and we continued with our 3D shape finding.
What we shall be working on next week
We will be continuing to think about the life cycle of frogs, and we will be counting in repeated groups. We will continue to practise our blending of Phase 3 phonic sounds in real and non-real words. Outside, we will be planting seeds in our garden patch.
How you can help with home learning
Can you sort objects at home into different shapes? Also, keep up with reading every day and writing in your reading diary.
General information
We will be doing PE outside as often as possible now so please make sure your child has suitable clothing.
