Rabbits and some tadpoles!

28.04.17

Rabbit Class send a big thank you to Darcey and her family for a supply of tadpoles which we are really enjoying having in the classroom.  We have talked about what we already know and what we like to find out about tadpoles and frogs.

We are looking forward to observing the changes.

This week also saw us begin our learning of stories from the Old Testament with the story of Noah's Ark. We used it for our small world play, in dance we began building the ark, musically we sang "The Animals Went in two by two", and in art we worked together with our talk partners to see if we could draw two animals that might have entered the ark. We had to negotiate with each other and discuss the colours we were using.

For home learning this week you could find repeated words in your reading books and, if you know them, just say them out loud.  You could also continue working on one less, eg, you had seven grapes, you've eaten one, how many do you have left?

Next week we will continue our work on the lifecycle of a frog. We will be counting repeated groups of the same value and counting in 2s.

Well done everyone - I am so proud of your ability to stick at things and keep on trying.

Enjoy the long weekend and see you Tueday!
