Badgers welcome Mrs Kibbler!

21.04.17

In maths we have been learning all about fractions. Badgers can now find 1/2 , 1/4, 1/3 and 3/4 of different shapes and of different quantities as well.

In English, Badgers have started to write the beginning of an adventure story which they will continue writing next week. First they described the setting using their senses of what they could hear, see and smell.  Then they discovered a secret key to a secret door, they planned where the secret door could take them, what characters they might meet there and what could happen as a result. The children came up with some wonderful ideas - a magical forest, a golden castle and even an edible garden!

Badgers have also had the opportunity to use the outdoor learning area a lot more this week. They have had a wonderful time in the new reading garden.

Next week in maths Badgers will be revisiting all four operations, - + ÷ x, and in English they will be continuing to write their stories, which they will then edit and improve.

Homework will now be going home on a Friday; this week’s homework focuses on fractions. Please can homework be completed and returned by Thursdays from now on.
