Our Church Family

Since 1838, St John’s Church has always been at the heart of its community. We are a diverse family where everyone is welcome and where worshippers of all ages and backgrounds can find a spiritual home.

We sit within the open evangelical tradition of the Anglican Church.

We have close links to this beautiful church and its community.

Reverend Helen Hancock is the minister.

The children know her by name, see her regularly in school for worship or helping with lessons, lunches and fun!

We visit the church for part of our curriculum as well as for personal interest, spirituality and discovery.

We hold services 4 times a year, each one is special and each one is fun!

The school year starts with a harvest service around October.

Then in December we hold our annual Christingle service.

At Easter we make Easter bonnets and parade into church and through the village afterwards.

At the end of term in July we celebrate our Year 2 leavers, giving thanks for each of them and hearing of their hopes, dreams and aspirations for the future.
