Learning tools at St John's

11.11.16

Each week the children are being introduced to a new learning tool from the St John’s toolbox. The idea is that each tool helps develop a different skill to encourage the children to become really resilient and effective learners.

The toolbox comprises of:

  • Headphones: Listening skills
  • Glue: Sticking at the task
  • Mirror: Reflecting on our learning
  • Jigsaw piece: Working together
  • Chain: Making links in our learning
  • Goggles: Imagining
  • Magnifying glass: Noticing
  • Clipboard: Questioning

We look forward to seeing how using our tools can have a really positive impact on motivation and learning.
